PROJECT OF THE WEEK

 My art studio at the cottage. It's been a lovely and challenging project as we paint, move in, and I think through how I want to finish the important  furniture pieces. With some paint and transfers, I did my little coffee table first. If you want to be a fly on the wall, you can watch the Youtube video HERE . CHRISTMAS in JULY PROJECT of the WEEK

Lynne's Favorite Christmas in July project... It took a turn after the camera stopped rolling! But the final result is layered with rich wonderful images and textures.

AND FINALLY...

It's Friday, a day off from the shop. JR and I will spend it at home doing home stuff or on a little journey, trying to discover some new place. Mostly, I love staying home, enjoying the lake, or the gardens, or sitting on the deck or fussing around in the art studio. JR built a new big  step leading up tp the deck on the studio so I've been thinking about how I'd like to imagine that space with a few potted plants and my beloved antique urns. I guess I'll just have to see where the day takes us. But at every moment of the day I want to catch a bit of inspiration where I can, observing the textures, color and nature around me...because isn't it something how the smallest spark of inspiration can turn into something you never dreamed possible? It's how I want to live my life...with excitement for the little things that can become the most meaningful moments.
