Let's start with those holiday tags! It’s SO fun to layer all the things and lose yourself in collage with a purpose. We love these tags as a “gift on a gift” or as holiday gift card holders.

Craft these shelf sitters using Idea-ology Backdrops, Layers and Ephemera elements—perfect for mantles, ledges, or shelves! JR cut 2x4’s into varied sizes (you can also use vignette boxes) and Lynne added layers of all the Christmas collage elements.

Top them with Salvaged Figures, which can be customized with paint. Now you have a charming set of shelf sitters that you can gift away or keep for yourself (wink, wink). Pinky swear, they’re going to make you smile.

Transform an old book into a magical hideaway. Carve out a niche from the inside pages of a thrifted book, cover it in Tim’s Christmas Backdrops, then build a hidden holiday scene that tells a story.

SOME FINAL THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK

When I discovered making with Tim Holtz stuff, my world was rocked. I love every bit of it and I love making with all the things. I mentioned in our live on Wednesday that opening my Tim Holtz holiday storage box was like I was coming home for Christmas.

Whether I'm sitting alone in my studio or sitting on the sofa sorting through all the Idea-ology things, or putting together a Christmas journal, there is something special about creating with Tim's stuff and letting your imagination take over. It warms my heart and brings me joy.

My wish for you is that you find some play time to create and have fun... to re-discover that childhood excitement of unboxing holiday secrets and surprises.
